Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 5, 2026
This Privacy & Cookie Policy explains what information Go Get Games collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It reflects how the site actually works.
1. Who we are
Go Get Games (“we”, “us”) is a games-and-deals directory operated by Go Get Games. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].
2. What we collect & why
(a) Analytics & attribution — only after you consent via the cookie banner. When you arrive from a marketing campaign, we read standard UTM campaign parameters and ad-network click identifiers from the URL you land on, together with your landing page and referrer. We store these in a first-party cookie so we can measure which campaigns send visitors to the site.
(b) Click data — when you click an outbound “Play” / “Get deal” link to a third-party store or partner, we log that click with your approximate country (derived from your IP address), the placement you clicked from, and a timestamp. We use this to attribute conversions and to prevent fraud. We do not use it to identify you personally.
(c) Analytics tools — with your consent we load Google Tag Manager, which may in turn load Google Analytics and similar tools. These set their own cookies and are described below.
3. Cookies we use
We separate essential cookies (needed for the site to function and to record your choice) from non-essential analytics/attribution cookies (only set after you accept).
- gg_consent Essential
Records your cookie choice (accepted or declined). Lasts ~180 days. This cookie is set without prior consent because it is the record of your consent decision. - gg_attr Analytics / attribution
Only set after you click Accept. Lasts ~90 days. Holds the campaign parameters and landing information described in section 2(a). - Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics cookies Analytics
Only loaded after you click Accept. Set by Google and governed by Google's own policies.
4. Consent & your choices
Non-essential cookies load only after you click Accept on the cookie banner. You can decline — declining means no analytics or attribution cookies are set. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time, and you can change your mind by clearing the consent cookie.
5. Third parties
The site links out to third-party stores and partners (see our Affiliate & Commission Disclosure). With your consent, Google processes analytics data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data.
6. Your rights (GDPR / ePrivacy)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, erase, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
7. Data retention & security
We keep attribution and click data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. Consent records are kept for the lifetime of the consent cookie (~180 days) so we can honour your choice.
8. Changes & contact
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Questions? Email [email protected].
