Best starter ships
Galleon first. It benefits most from early upgrades. One strong flagship beats four mediocre ships. Add the Frigate second for boss-fight damage, and hold the Brigantine until after Day 5, once you have enough crew to activate support synergies.

Crew recruitment — best free crew members
Three rules: same faction = synergy bonus, match captain to ship type, and free story captains handle all PvE content. Faction synergy (+15% fleet ATK from three same-faction members) beats a single legendary captain on a mismatched ship. Put an attacker captain on the Frigate and a tank captain on the Galleon — the right pairing can double a captain's effectiveness. You don't need a legendary pull to dominate the first week.
First 7 days
Days 1–3: Tutorial, explore islands, collect wood/iron, never miss dailies — they hand out premium currency that adds up to a free premium pull by day 7. Days 4–5: Build the Galleon + Frigate core, assign crew by synergy, farm PvE sea monsters for crew EXP and ship materials. Days 6–7: Join an alliance (alliance missions give the best rewards in the game), then take your first PvP fights against low-rated opponents to learn the ropes.
