Is Raid Shadow Legends worth playing in 2026?
Yes — if you enjoy champion collecting and tactical turn-based combat. Raid has more depth than most gacha RPGs, and 2026 brought meaningful updates: a revamped new player experience, rebalanced Doom Tower floors, and regular fusion events that give F2P players access to strong legendary champions.
The combat system rewards team composition — pairing the right debuffs (poison, decrease defense, weaken) with the right damage dealers creates genuine tactical puzzles. It's not "tap and auto." At least not once you pass the early campaign.

Kael's poison lands 2.5% HP burn per tick on Clan Boss — that's percentage-based damage that scales with boss HP. No other starter does this. By Day 30, your Kael will be your best Clan Boss damage dealer, your campaign farmer, and a solid dungeon champion. Three roles, one investment.
Athel is a reasonable second choice if you want better early arena performance, but she falls off in Clan Boss — the mode that gives you your best daily rewards.
Days 1–7: Campaign rush + your first level 60
Your only goal this week: get Kael to level 60 and 3-star Campaign Normal.
Day 1–2: Campaign Normal Chapters 1–7. Play through the campaign on Normal difficulty. Equip any Lifesteal gear you get from campaign rewards — stats don't matter yet, just the set bonus. Use XP brews on Kael only. Every other champion is food for now.
Day 3–4: Campaign Normal Chapters 8–12. By now you should have Kael at level 50. Start ascending him (use potions from daily dungeon rotation). 3-star every stage you can — this unlocks auto-repeat and multi-battle, which saves hours.
Day 5–7: Push to Campaign Hard + rank up to 60. Start Campaign Hard while working toward Kael's level 60. To get from 50 to 60, you need five 5-star food champions. Farm 12-3 Brutal (or the highest stage you can solo with Kael) for silver and XP.
What to skip this week:
• Arena: don't waste tokens, the AI matchmaking is broken for new accounts • Faction Wars: locked behind champions you don't have yet • Accessories: you can't farm them efficiently yet • Opening ancient/sacred shards: save them for 2x events

Days 8–14: Unlock Clan Boss + gear basics
Join a clan immediately. Filter for clans that kill Normal/Hard Clan Boss daily. Even if your damage is low, the reward chests give ancient shards, books, and gear. This is the highest-value activity in the game per energy spent — which is zero, since CB uses keys, not energy.
Clan Boss in 2 sentences: It's a boss you hit daily with your best 5 champions. Damage dealt determines reward tier. Poison and HP burn (percentage-based damage) scale better than raw attack — that's why Kael is king here.
Gear priorities:
Your first real gear set: Lifesteal (4-piece). Farm Dragon's Lair Stage 10+ when you can. Lifesteal keeps your champions alive without a dedicated healer — it's the most important early set.

Speed tuning (simplified): Your turn meter booster must be fastest. Then Warmaiden. Then Kael. Check the speed bar during battle — if the enemy cuts in between your champions, your booster needs more speed.
Great Hall priority: Start with ACC (accuracy) for your Magic affinity. Accuracy is the stat that makes debuffs land — without it, Kael's poisons miss and your whole strategy fails.
